Initial Situation
The client, an operator of a sewage treatment plant, faced the challenge of gaining a comprehensive understanding of their facility and modernizing their outdated overview and analysis tools. The goal was to increase efficiency, optimize processes, and enable effective monitoring of the plant. Additionally, employees were to be better trained and equipped to work faster and more effectively.
Implementation of the Solution
Needs Analysis
For the implementation, we set up a powerful CMS that enables the dynamic adjustment and expansion of the application. Within the CMS, the capability to create categories and products was established, allowing the client to flexibly design the structure and content of the information terminal.
Development of the Digital Twin
A digital twin of the sewage treatment plant was created, mapping all physical processes and their dependencies in a virtual environment. Simulation techniques were employed to make the processes and data flows more understandable.
3D Visualizations and Data Analyses
To visualize the digital twin and associated data, 2D and 3D models were developed, making them available on all devices. These visualizations present the current status, ongoing processes, and alerts in an easily understandable manner.
Monitoring and Optimization
A monitoring system was implemented to oversee the facility in real-time and issue alerts in case of deviations. The data collected is used to conduct further analyses and optimizations.
