Interactive info terminal for production halls
The Initial Situation
Our customer frequently hosted customers and tours in their production halls and showrooms. To provide more comprehensive information on-site and explain the various details of their products interactively, the company wanted to install large info terminals in their production halls. The goal was to clearly and comprehensively present information about the company, technology, and individual products to customers.
The main goal of the project was to develop an interactive touch info terminal that provides customers and visitors with easy access to extensive information. The application should be user-friendly and intuitive to ensure an optimal user experience. An important requirement was that the info terminals also function offline. For this, a desktop application was developed that has a synchronization function to locally store all files and products on the devices when there is an internet connection.
Implementation
Setting up the Content Management System (CMS)
For the implementation, we set up a powerful CMS that enables dynamic adaptation and expansion of the application. Within the CMS, categories and products can be created. This enabled the customer to flexibly structure and design the content of the info terminal.
Development of the Desktop Application
The application was developed as a desktop application that permanently ran on the info terminals. This ensured stable and reliable performance that met the high demands of the customer. An important function of the desktop application was the synchronization function, which ensures that all files and products can be locally stored on the devices when there is an internet connection. This ensured that the info terminals were fully functional offline.
Integration of Media and Programs
Products could be supplemented with images, videos, and files to ensure comprehensive information presentation. Additionally, it was possible to open programs like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint directly from the application if technical details needed to be shown. This integration ensured that all relevant information was easily accessible and presentable.
Support for Multilingualism and Search Function
To cater to international visitors, the tool supported multiple languages. Additionally, a product-specific search was integrated, allowing users to easily and quickly find files and products. This facilitated access to specific information and significantly improved the user experience.
Integration of the Company Website
The company website was seamlessly integrated into the application, providing users with direct access to further information and resources. This integration ensured consistent and comprehensive information provision.

We developed our own interactive trade show software called NewBeeVision. This standard solution includes integrated asset management, a video viewer, an image gallery, and a 3D viewer. NewBeeVision can be flexibly extended with configurators, visualizations, and custom designs to meet the individual needs of our customers.
